You are cordially invited to participate at the first Tartu Classical Guitar Festival which will be held in the historic town of Tartu, Estonia from 7th to 10th of August, 2019. The festival aims to support the development of the classical guitar in Estonia and the Baltic region, also to promote the significance of Estonian/Baltic classical guitar culture on the global world stage. Through cooperation and interaction with players from North/South America, and elsewhere, this festival will provide an opportunity for musical/instrumental advancement to all players, teachers, enthusiasts of the classical guitar and its music.
We are pleased to announce the presence of world renown guitar virtuoso Eduardo Fernandez, who will be directing the festival programme and masterclasses and giving a talk on the history and development of the guitar in South America and its relevance in the universal guitar culture.
The North American guitarist Laurie Randolph will direct music theatre projects for guitarists of all ages and levels.
The Irish/Argentinian guitarist Patricio Zeoli will be conducting group lessons on the development of guitar technique through improvisation.
